Bird Bazar (birdbazar.com) is an online multivendor marketplace based in Dhaka, Bangladesh, connecting independent bird and pet-supply vendors with buyers across the country. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit or shop on Bird Bazar, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What personal data we collect and why
Account information
When you register an account, either as a buyer or as a vendor, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and shipping address. Vendors additionally provide store details and payout information, such as bank account details used for withdrawals.
Orders
When you place an order, we collect the information needed to fulfil it: billing and shipping address, phone number, the items ordered, and the payment method you choose, Cash on Delivery or bank transfer. Bird Bazar does not currently process online card payments, so we do not collect or store card numbers.
Comments and reviews
When visitors leave comments or product reviews, we collect the data shown in the form, plus the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string, to help detect spam.
Cookies
If you leave a comment, you may opt in to saving your name, email address, and website in a cookie for your convenience on future visits. Bird Bazar also uses cookies to keep your cart, session, and login state while you shop.
Who we share your data with
Because Bird Bazar is a multivendor marketplace, your order and delivery details, such as name, phone number, shipping address, and items ordered, are shared with the specific vendor or vendors fulfilling your order so they can prepare and deliver your items. Vendors may only use this information to fulfil your order, not for unrelated marketing.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
How long we retain your data
Comments and their metadata are retained indefinitely so we can recognise and approve follow-up comments automatically. Order information is retained for as long as needed for accounting, tax, and dispute-resolution purposes, in line with applicable law.
Your rights over your data
If you have an account or have left comments on this site, you can request an export of the personal data we hold about you, or request that we erase personal data we hold about you. This does not include data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
