These Terms and Conditions govern your use of Bird Bazar (birdbazar.com), an online multivendor marketplace connecting independent vendors of live birds, feed, cages, and pet accessories with buyers in Bangladesh. By creating an account, browsing, or placing an order on Bird Bazar, you agree to these terms.
1. Bird Bazar’s role as a marketplace
Bird Bazar provides the platform, but each store is owned and operated by an independent vendor. Vendors are responsible for the accuracy of their listings, the condition and legality of the animals and products they sell, and fulfilling orders. Bird Bazar is not the seller of record for vendor products, though we set baseline marketplace rules that all vendors must follow.
2. Legal and ethical sale of birds
Vendors may only list captive-bred birds that are legally owned and legally permitted to be sold under Bangladeshi law, including the Bangladesh Wildlife (Conservation and Security) Act. Listing wild-caught, trafficked, or otherwise protected species is strictly prohibited and will result in removal of the listing and the vendor’s account. Buyers are responsible for knowing and following any local rules that apply to keeping the species they purchase.
3. Accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating a buyer or vendor account, and you are responsible for keeping your login details secure. Vendors must provide accurate store, contact, and payout information.
4. Orders, pricing, and payment
Prices are listed in Bangladeshi Taka (BDT) and set by individual vendors. Available payment methods include Cash on Delivery and bank transfer. By placing an order, you agree to pay the listed price plus any applicable shipping fees shown at checkout.
5. Delivery of live animals
Vendors are responsible for packaging and transporting live birds safely and humanely. Buyers must be available to receive live birds in person and should refer to our Refund, Returns & Live Arrival Guarantee policy for what to do if a bird arrives unwell or injured.
6. Vendor responsibilities
Vendors agree to list products and animals honestly, respond to buyer questions and issues promptly, keep stock levels accurate, and comply with all applicable laws, including animal welfare and consumer protection laws. Bird Bazar may suspend or remove vendors who violate these terms.
7. Prohibited conduct
You may not use Bird Bazar to sell protected or illegally obtained wildlife, list counterfeit or unsafe products, misrepresent a bird’s health or age, or engage in fraudulent transactions.
8. Limitation of liability
Bird Bazar facilitates transactions between buyers and vendors but is not liable for the health, temperament, or condition of animals sold by vendors, except where required by law. Disputes about a specific order should first be raised with the vendor, and Bird Bazar may assist in resolving them where appropriate.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Continued use of Bird Bazar after changes are posted means you accept the revised terms.
